Gyeongju and its Lanterns

DOJ_6114.jpg

As fall came around the corner, the everlasting desire to photograph the autumn leaves grew. Thus, a friend and I decided to explore one the main historical sites of Gyeongju, Cheonmachong, and go for a wander. It was a busy Saturday and especially so due to there being a festival taking place, the Silla Cultural Festival.  Lanterns were lit, kites were flown, and horse-drawn carriages were lined along the road. It was a pleasant surprise. Here are the photos.
