About The Photographer
I have a passion for traveling, photography, and learning about cultural traditions. Our planet has so much to offer and I have too little time on Earth to explore it all. Thus, my goal is to never stop exploring and discover as much as I can is my short time. I have lived in six countries and by age 30, I have visited 52 countries. By 50, I hope to have quadrupled that.
I find myself mostly intrigued by immensely different culture from my own. I find being inquisitive and curious is the best way to expand one's knowledge of a culture and meeting locals provides a unique learning experience.
I'm from rural Virginia [Spotsylvania to be exact], I have been educated in Charlotte, North Carolina and Krakow, Poland, and Istanbul, Turkey. I have been living in China since 2017 and before that, I lived in the US, Poland, Tanzania, Belgium, Turkey, and South Korea. Having different countries as a home base has led to affordable travel and has made it more accessible.
As for photography, I been self-studying since 2011 with digital SLRs [and film prior to that]. I always had a passion for photography and when combined with traveling, it gives me a unique opportunity to capture life abroad for those who choose to be/are less mobile. I currently use a Canon 5D Mark III in more recent work but the pictures on the site are from many different models including my 6D, 7D, XS Rebel.
